Between a Rock And A Hard Place
I have been totally negligent in my duty and for that I apologize. I have been so wrapped up in my own personal world that I have not devoted enough time to bashing this administration. It looks like Americans may finally be waking up from a long sleep of illusion that the war in Iraq had anything to do with the reasons we invaded that country. Apparently a Washington Post/ABC News poll report shows that support for the war in Iraq is waning and in a big way. A majority of people are even saying that the war in Iraq isn't helping the security in the US. No shit! I wonder what made these people's neurons suddenly fire and put 2 and 2 together? All I can say is that it took long enough! Let's look at the numbers, shall we?
- Over $170 Billion dollars in costs (It was only supposed to cost $50 billion. Talk about cost overruns!!)
- Over 1800 US and UK troops killed (Over 12,000 wounded. The majority occurred after Bush declared the war was over!)
- Over 22,000 Iraqi civilians (non-insurgent) killed (The news never mentions these numbers)
- 238 attacks on Iraqi Pipelines since the beginning of the war.
